Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor dies at 67 Loss to India Cinema

Rishi Kapoor A veteran actor, he essayed a plethora of roles entertaining generations. His invaluable contribution to Indian cinema will never be forgotten. Rishi Kapoor's last rites were held at the Chandanwadi crematorium in Mumbai on Thursday afternoon, attended by family and a handful of close friends. Mr Kapoor, 67, died in the HM Reliance Foundation Hospital on Thursday. He battled cancer for the last two years. Gangtok, April 30:  Chief Secretary Shri S.C. Gupta chaired the State Level Task Force Meeting today to review the State Government's plan of action in line with the new guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India dated 29th April, 2020.  At the outset, the Chief Secretary informed the house that Shri. Ringzing Bhutia, Secretary Coordination (Covid-19) has been appointed as the State Nodal Officer to liaison with nodal officers of all other states to facilitate the return of people from Sikkim stranded outside the State.  The Chief Secretary stressed on the need to finalise the arrangement to quatantine the people coming from outside the State. A brief presentation on the newly prepared Online Registration Portal was made on the occasion. CHIEF MINISTER LAUNCHES  STATE PORTAL TO OBTAIN ONLINE FEEDBACK FROM THE PUBLIC  Gangtok, April 30: (IPR) Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay), in the presence of IPR Minister Shri L.N. Sharma launched the State Portal www.sikkimgovtfeedback.org  developed by Information & Public Relations Department here at Samman Bhawan today.    The launching programme had the presence of Secretary,IPR, Ms. Namrata Thapa and Director IPR, Mrs. Benu Gurung. Secretary IPR Ms. Namrata Thapa explained about the objective of the portal and the features available.  The Portal has been created with an intention to obtain feedback / suggestions /opinion from the public with regard to different Government schemes, functioning of the Government, general administration etc.  The inputs received from the public will be documented and screened by a team of officials in the Department, which will then be forwarded to the respective departments for taking necessary

Date: 29.04.2020 Actor Irrfan Khan has died after a two-year battle with neuroendocrine tumour. The news of his death was first shared by filmmaker Shoojit Sircar. Actor Irrfan Khan has died at the age of 54, after being admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on Tuesday, where was under observation for colon infection. The actor in 2018 had announced that he’d been diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour. The actor’s representatives shared the news with a statement: ‘I trust, I have surrendered,’ these were the some of the many words that Irrfan expressed in a heart felt note he wrote in 2018 opening up about his fight with cancer. Sikkim has received 4 Truenat Testing Machines with 1400 testing kits and will be ready for testing in a day or so at the New STNM hospital. The test — called the Truenat Beta CoV test enables same-day testing, reporting, and patient isolation initiation (if required). This is one of the few ICMR-approved tests to have been validated in a short period of time.

Sikkimes woman in Delhi tested COVID-19 positive

A 37-year-old woman from West Sikkim, who was undergoing dialysis at Pushpawati Singhania Research Institute Hospital in Delhi over chronic kidney failure, has tested positive for COVID-19  According to reports, one Sikkimese lady who was staying at DKK Bhawan in Delhi has contracted Covid-19.  Chief Minister Shri PS Golay confirms the Covid-19 positive case of a Sikkimese lady who was in Delhi for treatment. He informs that she is being given full care at the hospital and that all the people at DKK Bhawan have been quarantined. She is now admitted in hospital there and is in a stable condition.

SIKKIM CM PS GOLAY ATTENDED THE VIDEO CONFERENCE

Sikkim CM Shri PS GOLAY participated in a Video Conference meeting chaired by Hon’ble Union Minister for Information Technology (I.T.) and Communications Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad which also saw the participation of Ministers in-charge of I.T. of other states too. The meeting was regarding the initiatives taken in the field of Information Technology in fighting COVID-19 pandemic. It was a fruitful discussion benefiting Sikkim. The highlight of the Video Conferen ce was the commitment from the Union Minister for setting up a separate Administrative Center of BSNL headed by a high ranking official to oversee implementation of connectivity up to GPU level in the state of Sikkim. The Union Minister also assured the state government to provide all support in setting up of Electronic Manufacturing Industries and others I.T initiatives/projects submitted by the state government.
