Khamdong BAC under the leadership of BDO Khamdong conducted research seminar for Minority communities.

A workshop/seminar on initiatives of the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India for the welfare of minorities in the state of Sikkim under the scheme of “Research/Studies, Monitoring and Evaluation of Development scheme including Publicity” was organized today, i.e., 08th December, 2021 at the Khamdong BAC conference hall by the Primitive Tribe Welfare Board, Social Justice and Welfare Department, Government of Sikkim, East District. The program was attended by the Project Director (Mr. K. L .Lepcha), SJ&WD, BDO Khamdong (Mr. Tikendra Hari Sharma), Officials of the SJ&WD and the Hon’ble Panchayats of all the GPUs under Khamdong BAC. The Project Director, SJ&WD, welcomed everyone that attended the program and kick started with the introductory part. State level Panchayat Sammelan at Karfectar

Namchi, 4th December (IPR): The Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang attended the State level Panchayat Sammelan at SIRD and PR, today. He was accompanied by Deputy Speaker SLA, Shri Sangay Lepcha, Minister for RDD Shri Sonam Lama, Cabinet Ministers, MLAs, Chairpersons, Advisors, officials and Panchayats at large.  Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister announced that from the coming years the Panchayat Sammelan will be a three-day affair and will assist the officials to listen to the grievances of the Panchayats and with proper teamwork concrete solutions of the grievances can be sought after. He also said that medical allowances, pension, emergency funds for panchayats will also be looked into. A daylong Awareness cum Training program on PMMSY (Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana) was organised by Directorate of Fisheries, Govt. of Sikkim

Pakyong, December 4: A daylong Awareness cum Training program on PMMSY (Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana) was organised by Directorate of Fisheries, Govt. of Sikkim in partnership with National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), Kolkata at Community Hall, Pakyong. The program was graced by Shri. N.Jaswant (IFS),Director,Directorate of Fisheries as Chief Guest accompanied by the Guest of Honour Shri. Vikash Upadhya, Regional Director, NCDC Kolkata.  The dignitaries present were Shri. Ramandeep Kausis, Assistant Director, NCDC, Shri. Bimal Rai, Assistant Registrar, Cooperation Dept. Pakyong, Shri. Sanjeev Karmakar, Junior Assistant and Shri. Argadeep Jena, Program Officer, NCDC.
