Gangtok, May 03 Very urgent information for People of Sikkim who are stranded outside State Sikkim Government has started online registration for people of Sikkim who are stranded outside State due to Lockdown. As per the Chief Secretary, the first step to come back to Sikkim, one must register herself or himself . The online registration system to facilitate return of people of Sikkim stranded in different parts of the country was formally launched by the Hon'ble Chief Minister yesterday at Samman Bhawan. Sikkim Govt COVID-19 Registration Web Site Later, a press conference was convened by the State Chief Secretary to ensure that the information about the online registration system reaches all concerned through various media. It may be noted that each and every person who are stranded outside the State have to go through the online registration process. SIKKIM CM PS GOLAY ATTENDED THE VIDEO CONFERENCE

Sikkim CM Shri PS GOLAY participated in a Video Conference meeting chaired by Hon’ble Union Minister for Information Technology (I.T.) and Communications Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad which also saw the participation of Ministers in-charge of I.T. of other states too. The meeting was regarding the initiatives taken in the field of Information Technology in fighting COVID-19 pandemic. It was a fruitful discussion benefiting Sikkim. The highlight of the Video Conferen ce was the commitment from the Union Minister for setting up a separate Administrative Center of BSNL headed by a high ranking official to oversee implementation of connectivity up to GPU level in the state of Sikkim. The Union Minister also assured the state government to provide all support in setting up of Electronic Manufacturing Industries and others I.T initiatives/projects submitted by the state government.
