Sikkim Beats Bihar By 2 Wickets Bengaluru, 16th March 2021: The second win for Sikkim in the Senior Women’s One Day League came in a nail-biting match today at Alur Cricket Stadium II at Bengaluru, which was won by 2 wickets in the last ball of the innings. The Winning Celebration Sikkim won the toss and chose to field first. In the first innings, Bihar was all-out for 186 runs in 47.5 overs. Apurva Kumari scored the highest of 81 runs for the side. Sikkim built the pressure from the beginning and the opponent lost early wickets to Purni Maya Gurung, who took 2 important wickets in the first over of the innings. Cabinet approves Revised Cost Estimates for strengthening of Transmission and Distribution in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, in a major step towards economic development of the States of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim through strengthening of Intra - State Transmission and Distribution systems has approved the Revised Cost Estimate (RCE) of Comprehensive Scheme for Strengthening of Transmission & Distribution in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim at an estimated cost of Rs. 9129.32 crore. The scheme is being implemented through POWERGRID, a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under Ministry of Power in association with Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh and is targeted to be commissioned in phased manner by December 2021 for awarded scope of works and 36 months from RCE approval for un-awarded packages. 1,11,619 loans amounting to Rs. 24,985.27 crore extended under Stand Up India Scheme since inception The objective of the Stand Up India Scheme is to facilitate loans from Scheduled Commercial Banks (SCBs) of value between Rs. 10 lakh and Rs.1 Crore to at least one Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) borrower and one woman borrower per bank branch for setting up a greenfield enterprise in manufacturing, services or trading sector. This was stated by Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, Union Minister of State for Finance & Corporate Affairs, in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha today. Giving more details, the Minister stated that as on 02.03.2021, a total of 1,11,619 loans amounting to Rs. 24,985.27 crore have been extended under the Scheme since inception. Two Chinese nationals with fake Aadhaar cards detained by Bagdogra Police  Siliguri,  Police detained two Chinese nationals at the Bagdogra airport on Tuesday morning, after they failed to provide proper documents.  The arrested accused have been identified as Jang Jung and Kai Leng.According to police sources, one of the duos was travelling without any proper documents, while the other had a passport but failed to provide a visa. Upon interrogation, the police learned that the men had travelled to Karachi from Nepal on January 03. In addition to this, fake Aadhaar cards with Uttar Pradesh as their home address were recovered from their possession. In this context, DCP Kunwar Bhushan Singh stated that the men are being interrogated. Several documents were recovered from their possession.

EWS Applicants Department of Personnel and Training has issued Office Memorandum No. 36039/1/2019-Estt.(Res),dated 31.01.2019, for providing 10% reservation in Direct Recruitment in civil posts and services in the Government of India, for persons belonging to the EWSs who, are not covered under the scheme of reservation for SCs, STs and OBCs, and whose family has gross annual income below Rs 8.00 lakh (Rupees eight lakh only) from all sources i.e. salary, agriculture, business, profession, etc. for the financial year prior to the year of application.
