The people of Darjeeling have a reason to feel proud as one of their own, Shri Harsh Vardhan Shringla, Chief Coordinator of G20 India, Former Foreign Secretary of India and Former Ambassador of India to USA, is constantly making waves on the international stage. 
Shri Harsh Vardhan Shringla recently delivered an inspiring lecture on India's Foreign Policy & G20 at Symbiosis International University in Pune, highlighting India's leadership role in promoting a peaceful and stable world order. While addressing the event, Shri Harsh Vardhan Shringla said, “PM Modi looks at the G20 as an opportunity to make a difference. Because of the international situation, countries are looking for the solutions and they believe that if any country can provide solutions to the global challenges that existed it is India. Because we have the experience, we have the achievements and expertise to be able to contribute to the solutions.”

The people of Darjeeling are eagerly looking forward to welcoming their hometown hero and role model during the G20 meetings in the first week of April to be held in Darjeeling province. 

Shringla's message to the youths of India, that "a winner never quits and a quitter never wins," serves as an inspiration to everyone. The people of Darjeeling are proud of Shringla's accomplishments and are excited to see him continue to make an impact on the global stage.

Gangtok, March 11: DG-cum-Secretary, Health Department, Dr. P.T Bhutia convened a press conference today to share the measures taken by the State Government to prevent the outbreak of Nobel Corona Virus (COVID-19) in the State. Speaking to the media, Dr. P.T Bhutia informed that adequate precautionary measures are being taken by the Government. While sharing the global and national statistics of COVID-19, he confirmed that Sikkim has so far not reported a single case. He reaffirmed that the State Government is constantly in touch with the Government of India through daily updates and video conferences. The DG-cum-Secretary requested the people not to indulge in rumour mongering through social media or any other medium, as it leads to unnecessary panic. He added that such activities will be dealt with very strictly as per the provisions of law.
